She wanted him. Her body pulsed, she wanted him so bad, but it was too much. It was him. Him. It was… overwhelming. Too much. Too much.

Shelby laid her head on his shoulder, pressed against him, breast to chest, felt his heart beat and listened to the music and his breathing. Trying to stop thinking that she was lying to herself.

She knew what was wrong. She didn’t want to know what was wrong. She’d prefer to blame it on hormones or the moon or something, but that wasn’t it.
